The People Behind Summer Sounds
The
Summer Sounds staff all have a love of live music. As non-paid volunteers,
their
reward is seeing all the smiling faces at the Friday
night concerts.
Steve
Shapson
Executive Director/Photographer
Since 1986 Steve Shapson has been active in sports apparel retailing. His shops, both The Screamin' Tuna Surf Shop and Cedarburg Homebrew & Wine sells active
clothing, toys and accessories as well as homebrewing,
cheesemaking and winemaking supplies. His online business, www.TheCheeseMaker.com provides cheesemaking supplies and instruction for the home cheesemaker locally and for the global market. Having a
love of music and community, Shapson decided to help

Kathy
Lanser
Talent Coordinator/Marketing/Public Relations

Whether
walking down the red carpet at the Grammys or walking to
Summer Sounds at Cedar Creek Park, one thing remains the
same - Kathy loves live music. For years Kathy was
a record executive at Narada in the PR and Marketing Divisions. She
also was the Account Executive representing the music of
Peter Buffett for Independent Sound. Her career started
with concert promoter Stardate Productions (later, Cellar
Door). Kathy was one of the early board members for
Jazz in The Park. Prior to her years in music she was Vice
President/Account Services for Creata Promotion Ad Agency

Sue
Schrader
Talent Coordinator/Marketing/Public Relations

Sue
Schrader has been in the music business for over 20 years. She
began her career booking bands while she was in college
and worked for EMI Records for 15 years. She currently
works for Blind Ambition Mgt., Ltd., an artist management
company, where she’s responsible for the marketing

Tom
Bardenwerper
Web Developer/Concert Photographer

Tom Bardenwerper has been working with computers since the mid 1980's and has been a professional web developer and photographer, network administrator and computer technician
since 1997. Tom also has a bachelors degree from UWM in Broadcast Communications. In 2002 Tom started his own business, Cedar Creek Networks. Working from his home in Thiensville, Tom specializes in developing, hosting and maintaining small business, trade association and non-profit group websites like this one, as well as providing PC and networking support for clients throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Tom donates his time to build and maintain the Summer Sounds web site as well as photograph the concerts.
His hobbies include homebrewing, astronomy, photography, wilderness camping, hunting, and year-round fishing. werper@cedarcreeknetworks.com
Heidi Roberts joined Summer Sounds to help promote live music while supporting Cedarburg's great community.
